Fairy Queen

SCACD Friends with Heart - Challenge 3 A.R.T.
SCS Free 4 All - F4A61 Orange You Glad

I loved how my last card with the Danni Fairy came out so much, that I decided to CASE myself!  {LOL}  Once again, I've colored my main image {Fairy Queen} in monochromatic gray tones with a pop of color and then glittered her wings.  She just looks stunning with the Ambrosia papers from Basic Grey, don't you think?

The SCACD challenge is an acronym A.R.T. for Any SCACD stamp, Ribbon and Two Designer Papers.

Thanks for the visit and I wish you all the beary best!

Flutterby Danni

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW151 Open Challenge
Copic Creations - Challenge #48

This week is an open challenge at Flutterby Wednesday ~ anything goes as long as you have a fairy, butterfly  or angel on your creation.

I chose to use the fairy Danni named after our own Flutterby leader Danni by Paper Makeup Stamps.  {grin}  She's actually one of the many stamps included in the huge inventory sale at the PMS Store this month!  {wink}

I colored her with copics on my favorite GKD 120 lb. Pure Luxury White Cardstock.  I like how the colors blend on top and don't soak through the paper.  Of course, I need more practice blending and shading, but I still like how Danni turned out in monochromatic tones with a splash of her favorite color pink!  Can you see the dazzling diamonds glitter on her wings?

Thanks for fluttering by!

SCACD Friends with Heart - Challenge 2 hearts

I just think this little girl in Heartstrings is so sweet!  Love that bird house she's holding and the soft elegance of her hair and dress.  I have a small collection of birdhouses decorating my living room and wish I had one that looks just like hers.  So pretty!

A Fluttery Celebration!

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW150 Soft Pastel Colors
Sparkle Creations - SCRSC38 Sketch
SCS Color Combo - CC318 So Pretty Pizzaz!

We are celebrating at Flutterby Wednesday!  Not only is this week the 150th FBW Challenge, but we also had a new record of over 200 participants a couple weeks ago - Woohoo!  So, we have a couple of fun prizes to give away {2 Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps} and {Anita Be Stampin Fairy Digi Collection}  Be sure to check out the Flutterby Wednesday blog for all the details on how to participate and be entered to win!  {wink}

This week's challenge is to use soft pastel colors with your butterfly, fairy or angel.  I embossed Charlotte with a Rose from Sparkle Creations on watercolor paper and shaded her in with an aquapainter and ink.  I ran the green panel through my xyron to cover it with adhesive, so I could attach my image panel to it and then coat the rest with dazzling diamonds glitter for lots of sparkle!  {grin}  Of course, the little pink butterfly needed the same treatment!

Thanks for fluttering by and I hope you'll play along with us at Flutterby Wednesday!

Spring Blog Hop

It's time to celebrate Spring and we are hopping with Paper Makeup Stamps today!  You should have arrived here from the terrifically talented Tangii's blog.  If you didn't, then you need to go back to the beginning at the PMS blog and check out the big inventory sale details while you're there too.  {wink}

For today's card I followed Repeat Impressions Sketch A611 and colors from Playdate Cafe PDCC76.   I used markers to ink up the flower from Faith Hope Love and stamped on glossy cardstock.  That gave my flower its mottled appearance - you just have to be patient in letting the ink dry so you don't smudge your image.  I inked up the word art When the World with the wasabi ink pad, then used a tissue to gently remove the ink from just the word "Hope".  That way I only had to marker one word, instead of all of them with two markers to get the different colors in the saying.

Thanks for the visit and now off you go to the lovely Lisa K's blog for more Spring inspiration from Paper Makeup Stamps!
Stamps: Faith Hope Love and When the World by Paper Makeup Stamps

Little Birdie

Splitcoast Clean and Simple - CAS113

This week I'm honored to be a guest designer for the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast.  It is a color challenge to use light aqua, light yellow and white on your card.

I have enjoyed watching some little birdies discover a new bird feeder hanging in my yard, so I reached for my Tweet Things set by Paper Makeup Stamps.  I stamped them on watercolor paper and used an aquapainter with ink to shade them in.  Sweet and Simple!
