Fluttering with Susana's Custom Art and Card Design

This week Flutterby Wednesday is sponsored by Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  My card features one of new stamps in the Fairylicious collection designed by Victoria Case called Crystal Rose.  I like to color images in monochromatic gray tones with a splash of color.  Considering those ladybugs crawling on her legs, you know I had to go with red for that splash!  {grin}

It's easy to play along in the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge this week - the theme is OPEN - just remember to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!

Pink Roses

Flutterby Wednesday has an inspiration challenge for you this week.  Aren't those pink flowers pretty!  And don't forget your butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation too!

I used the Stampin' Up! embossing folder Manhattan Flowers, cut around the roses and added glitter to the raised embossed lines with a 2-way glue pen.  I really {heart} how the sparkly texture turned out!

I also tried to keep this CAS for the SCS challenge to make an encouraging card with a nature theme.

As always, thanks for fluttering by with your visit today!  I hope you'll be inspired by these lovely pink flowers too and link up your own fluttery creation to the FBW Blog.    {wink}

Last Minute

This week at the Digi Makeover Challenge by Paper Makeup Stamps we are looking for Word Art (quotes and sentiments) to be the focus of your creations.

I am still having fun going all digital and making cards in the My Digital Studio program by Stampin' Up.  You can import any digi paper or image to use in the program too.  This month has been crazy busy for me and I just knew I needed to use this Last Minute word art.  {grin}  I have so many friends that I could print this one off for too - funny how well we can all relate!

Hummingbird Invitation

For this week only Flutterby Wednesday is accepting anything with wings for its challenge.  Break out those birds, bees, dragonflies, ladybugs and other winged creatures for your creations and link them to the FBW Blog.

I have been experimenting with My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! and having lots of fun designing some digital cards and pages.  Still much to learn, but it's a start.  {grin}

Thanks for fluttering my way and I hope you'll share some of your favorite winged things with us at Flutterby Wednesday this week.   {wink}

Bobo's Balloons

We're looking for cropped digi images on your creations at the Digi Makeover Challenge by Paper Makeup Stamps this week.

Be sure to check out all the details here on Paper Makeup's rubber clearance sale {75% off!) as it switches over to a digi only company.  There's also a chance to win a $25 gift certificate for just 2 more days when you comment on the blog hop cards from the 7th!  {wink}

Okay - now for my card.  Bobo the Clown Fairy will be available as a digi in the PMS Store very soon.  I decided to crop his balloons on the computer for my card.  Why use more ink to print the clown fairy part of the image that wasn't going to be used?  Otherwise, it's a pretty self-explanatory card - I followed a sketch from Eat Sleep Stamps.

Thanks for the visit - hope to see you again soon!

Recipe for LOVE

This week at Flutterby Wednesday we have a recipe for you to follow!  Remember to use your butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation too!

L= 2 or more layers
O= odd number of embellishments
V= use the color violet
E= use any color except red

I've used a new to me set and die by Prickley Pear that I found at Susana's Custom Art and Card DesignIt's hard to see in the photo, but the butterflies are edged with a stardust glitter pen.

Thanks for fluttering by and I hope you'll play along with our recipe this week!  Check out what the Flutterby Team has done with it - links are in my sidebar!  {wink}

Hoppin' with Paper Makeup

It's the 7th of the month and that means it's time for another Blog Hop with Paper Makeup Stamps. February's theme is all about LOVE! If you're hopping with us, you should have arrived here from Lisa's Blog. If you missed the beginning - start at the PMS Blog where you can check out the latest news. The Rubber Closeout Sale has dropped to 75% off and you'll find the discount code there too! {wink}

Today's card was a no-brainer for me. {grin}  It's my son's 12th birthday {sniff, he's growing so fast!} and I just had to make a card to remind him how much I love him.  Now, like most 12yo boys, he's not real into the fairy thing.  What's great about the digi stamps is I can omit wings and turn a fairy into just a boy, like I've done with Brandt here.

Now off you go  - time to hop to Randee's Blog!  {wink}
