Frog Up and Away

Flutterby Wednesday is hosting an open challenge this week.
Any creation goes if it has a butterfly or fairy on it!

We have another fun sponsor this week - Beccy's Place!  You can also purchase some of Beccy's images as digis or in rubber at Sprinkle N Sparkle.
That's where I found this adorable Frog Up and Away digi.
Sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Dream Big
Paper is from Pink Paislee Spring Jubliee.

Kraft Butterflies

Flutterby Wednesday wants to see some kraft paper in your creations this week with your fairies or butterflies. I took the 3 butterfly dies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and arranged them on the piece of white cardstock to cut out the images and use the negative space on my card.  This allows the kraft cardstock behind the white layer to show through.  I like the different sized bling for the different sized butterflies.  {happy grin}  The sentiment is from the Pink by Design "Rock On" set.

Everyday Miracles

Flutterby Wednesday is looking for some pixie dust this week.  We want to see your creations sparkle and shine!  And don't forget to have a fairy or butterfly on there too.  {wink}

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is our generous sponsor today - one FBW challenge participant will win 3 digis of their choice from the SNSS store!   I have used a butterfly and sentiment from the digi set Everyday Miracles.  I printed the butterfly on pale pink cardstock and softly colored it in with colored pencils.  Then I ran the panel through my Xyron to cover it with adhesive before coating it with some dazzling diamonds glitter.  I just love that quick and easy trick to give a panel or border a sparkly coat!

It's a bit hard to see, but I also traced the word 'miracle' and it's frame with a clear stardust glitter pen.  I doodled a bit on the Authentique Lively DP with the glitter pen too.  And the 3 pink gems were my final sparkly touch!  {grin}

New Beginnings

This week's Flutterby Wednesday challenge is an OPEN one - just be sure to have your butterfly or fairy on your creation!  And go take a peek at all the lovely creations by the other designers ~ you'll be glad you did!

I have used a set called New Beginnings by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I love the matching NB Butterfly Die Set - way easier than fussy cutting!   The fun sketch is from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge SSS177.

I used the smallest butterfly stamp with a sparkly Frost Versamark ink to stamp a pattern on the gray background.  The large die-cut butterfly is filled in with a stardust glitter pen for extra sparkle there too.  {grin}  The designer papers are from the Basic Gray Ambrosia collection.

Thanks for fluttering by ~ your visits are always welcome!

A Flutterby Recipe

This week we have a recipe for you to follow at Flutterby Wednesday.  And just wait until you see all the creations "cooked up" by the FBW design team - yum!  You can check out their links in my sidebar.  {wink}

And here's the recipe: the color blue, lace, at least 3 flowers and at least one butterfly.  Obviously, I've used some blue paper and I colored my lace blue to match with a B23 copic marker.  The flowers and pearls are from SU!'s retired Paper Pretties kit - again I colored the pearl centers with a Y35 copic marker.  Love being able to color accesories to match!  :)  And of course, my favorite Martha Stewart butterfly punch to the rescue for adding a couple sweet butterflies to my card.

Now isn't that Thankful Tommy Turtle from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps cute?  And the best thing is his digi image came pre-colored - what a blessing this busy, busy week. {grin}  I followed the sketch from The Sweet Stop and the theme for Sweet 'n Sassy's Digi Challenge is favorite things.  Flowers and butterflies have long been favorites of mine, as well as cute critters like this turtle!

Angelic Oliver

We have everyone's favorite challenge at Flutterby Wednesday this week - It's OPEN, just remember to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!  {wink}

I found the cutest angel ever at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  Meet Angelic Oliver!  I've paper pieced him with some scraps I had on my table to fit the SNSS Digi Challenge.  And I followed the sketch from The Sweet Stop.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll take the time to visit the rest of Flutterby Design Team - they always come up with some fantabulous creations and their links are all on my sidebar!  {grin}  Be especially sure to welcome our newest team member, Amanda, and say hello to our fun guest designer, Jess!

Fluttery Thoughts

Flutterby Wednesday this week is celebrating Friendship, along with butterflies, fairies and angels.  My favorite card for a friend is one that isn't for any particular occasion.  It just lets her know you're thinking of her.

I used a previous sketch from The Sweet Stop and that pretty butterfly is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Everyday Miracles set.  The words are from their Thoughts of You set.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous friendship cards from the Flutterby Team on my sidebar and also from our talented guest designer, Leanne

Snow Friends

Motivate Me Monday - Let It Snow Theme
The Sweet Stop - Sketch 38

Today's card uses the stamp set Snow Friends from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps (SNSS). Aren't these snowmen just the cutest? And there are a lot of sweet sayings and snowflakes that come with them. Such an adorable set! {grin}

I created a mask for the snowmen and heart so that I could sponge the fading blue background behind them. Then I used a white paint pen to add the look of snow falling all around them. Coloring was done with a blender pen and ink. I covered the ground with dazzling diamonds glitter for sparkly snow and the heart with a clear glaze pen for a nice shine.

I used a couple of the snowflake stamps to make the larger background. I tapped off the ink on scrap paper before stamping to give the snowflakes a softer look. The popped off snowflakes were cut out with some nesties and traced with a sakura glitter pen. I just love how they sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Van Gogh Tree

The Sweet Shop - SSS36
Splitcoast Technique Challenge - TLC253

It's time for some Christmas thank you cards! I started with this week's sketch from The Sweet Shop. I chose to use Sweet 'n Sassy's charity set Trees of the Field. You can click on the link to read about how it supports Sarah Anderson's family after the tragic loss of her 3yo son Henry a couple months ago.

I covered the tree with dots, Van Gogh style, for Splitcoast's technique challenge. The saying is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Heartfelt Sentiments set. The green ruche paper in the background is from Paper Temptress and it has a delightful texture to it.

I hope all of you enjoyed a Christmas Day full of joy and laughter. For my family, it was a time to reflect on the greatest gift ever given ~ Luke 2:10-11
NASB

And the angel said to them,"Do not be afraid;
for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall
be for all the people; for today in the city of David
there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!
