A Cut Above the Rest

** This is my second post of the day.**
Scroll down for the Flutterby Wednesday Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Paper Makeup Stamps July Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Shaela's fantabulous blog. If you didn't, you'll want to turn around and go to the Paper Makeup Stamps blog where the fun starts! Every Makeup Artist has a letter on her blog along the way that will spell out a code that's good for one week for 15% off the stamps in the July release.

For my card, I am using stamps from the A Cut Above set illustrated by our very own
Shaela Odd. I just {love} the swirly pattern on the mirror and comb! I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch as a starting point. I embossed the images in black and filled in the spaces with my white gel pen. After I cut it out with a labels four nestie, I traced around the embossed edge with a black spica glitter pen. I did the same with the smaller accent shape too. The DP SU! Parisian Breeze and black cardstock are both textured. The ribbon is reversible black & white satin by May Arts. Add a few gems, emboss the saying, pop up the panels and voila!

And there's my letter for You! Now it's time to see what stunning creation Maria has whipped up for us!

Blessings,

Stamps: A Cut Above by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Textured Black, SU! Parisian Breeze DP
Ink: Colorbox Pigment Black

Accessories: Black EP, Black Spica Glitter Pen, May Arts Ribbon, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Nesties Labels Four, Gems

What to Wear

Mojo Monday - Sketch 111

This is Cora from the Doodlefactory Prehistoric set at Starving Artistamps. To me she just looks like a chick that you don't want to mess with. I mean look at what she's wearing - that's giraffe skin! You've gotta be tough to take down a giraffe, haha. Okay, perhaps I shouldn't post cards after midnight b/c I'm being too silly. {wink}

I would have gone with leopard skin, but I didn't find any DP like that in my stash. That's how we ended up with the giraffe print, haha. I paper pieced her boots and cave-dress. The rest of her is watercolored with the wonder crayons. I layered the circles and star from punches, then coated them with versamark and glassy glaze EP for a nice shiny accent. :) Add some gems and a fabulous coordinating saying from Starving Artistamps and that's it.

Thanks for looking! :)
