Flutterby Quilt

This week at Flutterby Wednesday we want to see you use your scraps on your creations ~ along with your butterfly, fairy or angel.  I fished around my scrap bin and pulled out some pieces of pink papers that I had used on this card in February.

I punched out some 1-inch squares to keep them all even-sized and some small butterflies from one of my many scraps of white cardstock.  Even the pink layer that I laid out the pieces on and the burgundy half sheet for my card base were in my scrap box.  {grin}  I really should reach for cut up pieces of paper more and get them used!

The saying is from the Little Moments set by Paper Makeup Stamps.  I'm also entering this card into the Hope You Can Cling To challenge at SCS Things are Looking Up

Thanks for fluttering by and I hope you are inspired to use up some of your scraps on your next creation!

Peek-a-Boo Box

We're back with another fun Digi Makeover Challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps.  This time we want to see you use your digi image on anything but a card.  It could be a scrapbook page, a bookmark, a doorhanger, a notebook, a tag, a treat box like I've done - there are so many possibilities!

I've always wanted to try one of these Peek-a-Boo boxes that I've seen on Splitcoast.  It came together pretty easily and I love the little window that gives you a peek of the treat inside.  {grin}  And I love that I can take a big image like the Twisty Tree and size it way down to fit on a little box like this!

Stamps: Twisty Tree Digi and sentiment from Color It Autumn by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Cranberry Crisp, Neenah Solar White, SU! DP
Ink: Printer, Cranberry Crisp
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, 1-1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Clear Acetate Sheet, Scor-Pal, Terrifically Tacky Tape

Smitten Snake

This month's Paper Makeover Challenge at Paper Makeup Stamps is to use Neon Green!  Use a PMS rubber stamp or digi on your creation and you could win a prize.  {wink}  Check out the details and link up your project at the PMS Blog

I stamped Smitten Snake on some green DP and cut him out.  I used a white gel pen for his teeth and eyes and a pink stardust glitter pen for his belly - love that shimmer!  {grin}  Then I couldn't resist adding pink gems to all the white squares on the DP too.

The saying actually comes in a straight line, but to fit the circle better I cut the words apart {gasp!} and stacked them on my acrylic block.  I can always line them up straight again on my block if I want.  If you do this, be sure to stamp on a scrap paper a couple times first - just to make sure the words are all straight and {ahem} right side up.  Just sayin' from experience here!  {lol}

The sketch that I used is from the Hope You Can Cling To challenges at SCS.

Monster of a Hop

Today Paper Makeup Stamps is having a Monster of a Hop featuring PMS monster images with creations from both fans and makeup artists.  {See below for the full line-up of today's hop}  And to further celebrate Katie's having a sale of 15% off all monsters for a week when you use the code "MONSTERHOP"

My card features BooBoo Monster.  Looks like he's hurting pretty bad, doesn't it?  Sure hope he feels better soon!  {wink}  I used this week's sketch from Splitcoaststampers and just stretched it into a long card.  I'm also entering this card into SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenge "Real Men Wear Pink" to make a masculine card with some pink on it.

Just Because

SCS Queen for the Day - QFTD80 Dawn Mercedes
SCS Hope You Can Cling To - HYCCT1104 Only Paper

Dawn Mercedes was honored as Queen for the Day at Splitcoaststampers and I picked one of my favorite cards of hers to CASE - Black Eyed Susans.  I love the frames she's been using on lots of creations lately!

I also decided to make this for the SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenge to Have Only Paper Embellishments.  I thought since the cards are being mailed to a Cancer Center in Texas, they might appreciate some Bluebonnet flowers.  {grin}

Stamps: Multi-Step Bluebonnets and Simple Sentiments by Kitchen Sink Stamps
Paper: SU! Whisper White, DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies DP
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, Memento Tuxedo Black
