One Wing

SCS Color Combo - CC325                      Moving Along - MWATT#101 No DP
SCS Sketch - SC335                                Creatalicious  - #22 Flourishes
SCS Ways to Use - WT325 Die Cuts        Divas by Design - DBD Florals
Paper Makeup Stamps - Friday Freebie   Cupcake Inspiration - #113

It's time for another Friday Freebie at Paper Makeup Stamps!  I just love the combination of fonts in this word art.  {grin}  Be sure to stop by the blog or store and pick it up for yourself!  Then we'd love to see what you create with it.  You can add your creations to the Splitcoast Gallery with the keyword "Paper Makeup Stamps" or leave a link to your blog post in the comments on the PMS Blog.

For my card, I stretched the SCS sketch to fit a square instead of the standard quarter sheet size.  I embossed the flower panel first, cut it into the sections for the sketch and added a different color to the raised part for each panel with my brayer.  I tapped off the ink once each time for my Swirlie Bud flourishes in the background.  And I love how well these colors and flowers go with this week's Cupcake Inspiration Photo.  How anyone could eat such pretty cupcakes is beyond me!  {LOL}

Don't forget that the Design Team Call for some new Makeup Artists ends tomorrow, June 4th!  And be sure to look for our summer blog hop next Tuesday, June 7th.

Thanks for the visit and I wish you all the beary best!

A Fluttery Celebration!

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW150 Soft Pastel Colors
Sparkle Creations - SCRSC38 Sketch
SCS Color Combo - CC318 So Pretty Pizzaz!

We are celebrating at Flutterby Wednesday!  Not only is this week the 150th FBW Challenge, but we also had a new record of over 200 participants a couple weeks ago - Woohoo!  So, we have a couple of fun prizes to give away {2 Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps} and {Anita Be Stampin Fairy Digi Collection}  Be sure to check out the Flutterby Wednesday blog for all the details on how to participate and be entered to win!  {wink}

This week's challenge is to use soft pastel colors with your butterfly, fairy or angel.  I embossed Charlotte with a Rose from Sparkle Creations on watercolor paper and shaded her in with an aquapainter and ink.  I ran the green panel through my xyron to cover it with adhesive, so I could attach my image panel to it and then coat the rest with dazzling diamonds glitter for lots of sparkle!  {grin}  Of course, the little pink butterfly needed the same treatment!

Thanks for fluttering by and I hope you'll play along with us at Flutterby Wednesday!

Merci Cosette

Today we are hopping with the Makeup Artists for Paper Makeup Stamps January Release. You should have arrived here from Katie's blog, our oh-so-talented leader! If not, you'll want to start at the beginning on the PMS blog. Remember to collect letters along the way that will spell out a 15% discount code that you can use on the new release.

My card features the sweet Cosette fairy. {sigh} Isn't she lovely? I think of her as holding a cup of hot chocolate to warm her hands and tummy. And the best thing about coloring fairies is how well I can coordinate their outfits! {grin} I colored Cosette with prismacolor pencils and baby oil. The designer paper is from Kaisercraft Sakura Park sampler pack. I love the the red and black patterns in that set. The bit of textured paper and sentiment are from the Mon Cheri January kit.

The release party starts at 9pm EST tonight in the PMS Forum when the stamps go live in the PMS Store. We hope you'll join us for some fun chatter, games and prizes! Next stop is the ever-creative Shaela! And don't forget to take your letter with you before you go. {wink}

Dazzling Butterflies

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW134 Open Challenge
SCS Clean and Simple -
CAS96 Bows
SCS Color Challenge -
CC300 and CC22

This week at Flutterby Wednesday we have another Open Challenge - just make sure you use a fairy, butterfly or angel on your creation and you're good to go! {grin}

My card actually has no stamping! I used the butterfly embossing folder from the
Once Upon a Princess set by Cuttlebug. Then I colored butterflies with Pretty in Pink and Pink Passion markers. And, in my humble opinion, everything looks better with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, so out came the 2-way glue pen and my butterflies were quickly glitterfied! {LOL}

Thanks for fluttering by today!

Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Pink Passion
Markers: Pretty in Pink, Pink Passion
Accessories: 2-way glue pen, Once Upon a Princess Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Pink Gingham Ribbon, Bow Easy, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Thankful Butterflies

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW132 Thank You Card
Splitcoast Clean & Simple - CAS94 Sponging
Splitcoast Color Combo - CC298 Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake

This week we are creating Thank You cards with your butterfly, fairy or angel at Flutterby Wednesday! I used the Martha Stewart Glassene Butterfly Punch to make a template and sponge these three butterflies in the colors from the SCS color challenge. I love how speckled the butterflies look with the sponging technique. {grin}

The sentiment is from Everyday Thanks by Paper Makeup Stamps. Then I used the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and my Scor-Pal to add some texture, tied some kraft ribbon on and voila! A quick & easy thank you card!

And now it's time for me to thank you for fluttering by today! Hope you join us at Flutterby Wednesday this week!

Butterfly with Carnation

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW131
Splitcoast Color Challenge -
CC297

This week's Flutterby Wednesday challenge is an open one - anything goes as long as you use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. And there is a bonus sketch that Danni put together {see below} that I used on my card. The colors Baja Breeze, Perfect Plum and Pear Pizazz come from the color challenge at Splitcoast.

I love all the rounded corners on Danni's sketch! The designer paper is from SU! Green Tea. I embossed the image from
Ladybugs and Carnations by Mark's Finest Papers, then colored it in with an aquapainter and ink.

Thanks for fluttering by today and I wish you all the beary best!

Color It Red

SCS Clean and Simple - CAS79 Gardens
SCS Color Combo -
CC283 Baja Poppy Cakes
The flower used on my card is from the Color It - Summer set released by Paper Makeup Stamps on the 7th. I stamped and colored it directly on the Kraft (Crumb Cake) paper. I dry embossed around it with a Labels Ten Nestie and colored the outline with a copic marker and spica glitter pen for a simple, sparkly outline. The leaves and flower center sparkle IRL too. The border punch and ribbon I used are from Martha Stewart. AND I {love} the font of the 'thinking of you' sentiment from The Will to Day Dream kit.
Be sure to check out the PMS blog for cards from other Makeup Artists reviewing the August Release this week. Remember the 15% discount code from the blog hop is good only through Saturday, August 14th.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all the beary best!

Emboss Resist

Here's my card for today's color combination challenge on Splitcoast. It's also for Sherrod Studio's Tuesday Throwdown to use the emboss resist technique. I used the Christmas tree outline stamp (from Sherrod Studio's Christmas Greetings set) to randomly create a background with versamark. I then embossed it with vanilla EP. I punched out 1-inch squares and sponged them with artichoke, coral and burgundy. I matted them with the same colors and chose one of the sayings from the same stamp set for the center.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day! :)
