Butterfly on White
Flutterby Wednesday - FBW139 White on White
Welcome to another Flutterby Wednesday challenge! This week we are having a White on White challenge--only your image may have color--and remember your butterfly, fairy or angel.
So, with this kind of challenge, you've gotta have some texture. Out came the embossing folders and nesties. The lacey circle is popped on dimensional tape. The butterfly is paper-pieced and I went over the pale pink part of the design with a Sakuara Stardust pen.
Thanks for fluttering by today! I'm looking forward to seeing your WoW creations!

Flourished Dreams
SCS Clean and Simple - CAS103 Flourishes
SCS Clean and Simple - CAS95 Flower Accents
Just a quick post with a CAS card I made. The flourish theme made me think of the Dream Big stamp set. I used an oval nestie to emboss around the word art and as a stencil to sponge over it. It's hard to see, but I also outlined the oval and colored the stars with a clear Sakura Stardust pen. Thanks to Dawn Mercedes for the primas, because mine have been packed away somewhere safe in my house for over a year now!
January is flying by and there are fun things planned in February for Paper Makeup Stamps 2nd Birthday! Stay tuned!
Thanks for visiting today and I wish you all the beary best!

I've long-admired how detailed their images are when you layer all the pieces in different colors of ink. I followed the KSS sketch this week in their new forum. I used two different embossing folders to fit the Texturize Me challenge. I chose blue for the butterfly on Nail Design 0337 from the Inspiration Challenge.
Thanks so much for fluttering by today!

Sketches by Carly at FBW
This week at Flutterby Wednesday we have a real treat - this delightful sketch for you to follow by 12-years-old Carly! Be sure to check out her blog {Sketches By Carly} - such talent!
Stamps: Warm and Wonderful, Take Flight by Gina K. Designs
Paper: Wine with Everything, Little Boy Blue, DP by GKD
Ink: Baroque Burgundy SU!
Accessories: Clear Spica Glitter Pen, Snowflake Punch, Blue Gems, Oval Nesties, Dimensionals
Here's my card based on Carly's sketch. I used papers from Gina K. Designs retired Winter Wonderland Kit. It might be hard to tell in the photos, but the paper and ink are a burgundy color, not brown. The stamps are GKD too, Take Flight and Warm and Wonderful. Below is a close-up of the sparkle from the clear spica glitter pen I used all over the butterfly image. If you squint you can kind of see the sparkle {LOL}.

Bunny Love
Aren't these bunnies just the cutest? Billy and Bianca are part of the January/February release at Paper Makeup Stamps. You can get them for 15% off through January 14th with the discount code that you'll find in the Blog Hop.
I dusted off my chalk pastels to color Billy and Bianca. My first stamping purchase ever was a black ink pad, white paper, a teddy bear set and chalk pastels. I used them to color all my cards for a long time as I slowly built up my collection of ink pads, markers, pencils, etc. It was fun to go back to my stamping roots with this card today. {grin}
I chose a sentiment from Hugs and Kisses. It just seemed to fit these love bunnies so perfectly! I love the font and I colored the heart with red chalk too.
Be sure to check out the other review cards at Paper Makeup Stamps today and tomorrow. Lots of great ideas and beautiful creations to be seen! {wink}

Merci Cosette
Today we are hopping with the Makeup Artists for Paper Makeup Stamps January Release. You should have arrived here from Katie's blog, our oh-so-talented leader! If not, you'll want to start at the beginning on the PMS blog. Remember to collect letters along the way that will spell out a 15% discount code that you can use on the new release.
My card features the sweet Cosette fairy. {sigh} Isn't she lovely? I think of her as holding a cup of hot chocolate to warm her hands and tummy. And the best thing about coloring fairies is how well I can coordinate their outfits! {grin} I colored Cosette with prismacolor pencils and baby oil. The designer paper is from Kaisercraft Sakura Park sampler pack. I love the the red and black patterns in that set. The bit of textured paper and sentiment are from the Mon Cheri January kit.
The release party starts at 9pm EST tonight in the PMS Forum when the stamps go live in the PMS Store. We hope you'll join us for some fun chatter, games and prizes! Next stop is the ever-creative Shaela! And don't forget to take your letter with you before you go. {wink}

Fluttering into 2011
Welcome to my spot in the "Fluttering into 2011 Hop". The Flutterby Wednesday Challenge is back from our holiday break and you should have fluttered here from Jennie's blog. If not, you'll want to start at Flutterby Wednesday and take a peek at all the fluttery goodness there is to see along the way today! {wink} And we want to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of the Flutterby Team: Kristie, Anna, Peggy and Jennie!
This week's challenge is everyone's favorite, an OPEN one! Just remember to have your butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. My butterfly image today is from a new stamp that my parents gave me for Christmas. I've wanted to try bleaching an image for awhile now. I embossed the butterfly in black on brilliant blue cardstock and used a small paintbrush to "paint" it with bleach. I just love how the brilliant blue faded to an aqua color that matches baja breeze pretty well. And I painted it a little unevenly to vary the color a bit in the wings.
Now you have one more fluttery stop to make - that of our Flutterby leader herself - Danni!
Stamps: Butterfly (unknown), Everyday Thanks by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Baja Breeze, Basic Black
Ink: Colorbox Pigment Black
Accessories: Lacey Circle Nestie, Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug Oriental Weave EF, Black EP, bleach, paint brush, Basic Grey Aqua Pearls
Challenges: Daily Dare 12 days of Christms DD12days10
