Flutter By in Stripes

Flutterby Wednesday - FBW164 Use Stripes
Crafty Cardmakers - #50 Butterflies
Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central - Bling

This week at Flutterby Wednesday we are looking for stripes on your creations along with your butterfly, fairy or angel!

I used the MFT Butterfly Die-namics to cut butterflies through the striped paper and sahara sand layers.  Then everything that could be outlined with my quickie glue pen and glittered, was!  Everything at my desk sparkles now, heehee.

The sentiment is from Little Moments by Paper Makeup Stamps.

Thanks for fluttering by!  Be sure to check out the FBW Blog for more super striped creations from the Flutterby Team!

Sending You Sunshine

I am thrilled to be hopping with Taylored Expressions July Blast from the Past!  See the complete list of participants at the bottom of this post.  The theme is "Sending You Sunshine" and I have used the set called {Summer Afternoon} for my card.

I inked up the circle frame with Daffodil Delight and then used a Pumpkin Pie marker to add some shading.  Thanks to my Quickie Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, I have some sparkly borders and accents on my papers.  {sigh - I love sparkle}  The designer paper is from the Echo Park Splash collection.

And with the pretty butterflies around the border, this is also my sample for Flutterby Wednesday!  We have an open challenge this week - anything goes as long as your creation has a butterfly, fairy or angel on it.  {wink}

Thanks so much for fluttering by and may your day be filled with Sunshine!

Christmas in July

This week Paper Makeup Stamps is sponsoring Christmas Card Challenges.  Check out their blog for all the details on how you can enter to win a $15 PMS gift certficate.  {wink}

I  used the word art Wise Men Still Seek Him with some pretty Wintertime paper by Echo Park.  The sketch is from The Sweet Shop with a SPIN to make a Christmas card ~ perfect, right?  {grin}  It might be hard to tell in the photo, but I edged the card, nestie shape and star with dazzling diamonds glitter.  I just love how that sparkle adds a big {WOW} to the card!  I cut a second nestie shape in half to mat the outside edges of the sentiment panel too.

Time for a Makeover

Paper Makeover Challenges have been introduced at the PMS Blog! Play along using a PMS image for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate towards rubber or digi stamps at the PMS Store! {wink}  Remember there are some freebies in the digi stamp section, if you're new to Paper Makeup Stamps!
First Challenge is to CASE one of the new Makeup Artists, Jackie, Janette, Jenn or Shana!  I chose this beauty from Shana and my heart is going pitter-pat with how my CASE turned out - I just love it!  I love pretty papers, but am so hesitant to mix patterns on my cards.  And I never take time to decorate the inside too, like Shana does.  But wow!  Decorating the inside of my card was fun!  {giggle}  See!
Second Challenge is to use a nautical theme.  I picked Eric the Captain Fairy and colored him with my new watercolor pencils and blender pen.  I haven't decided who to give this card to yet, so I've left off a saying for now.

Hope you'll join us with your own Paper Makeovers! Be sure to link them to the PMS Blog for us to see and a chance to win the prize!

I colored this very detailed digi image called Audrey at the Well with prismacolor pencils.  There is so much going on in the picture that I chose to keep the background very simple.  And it looks like a wishing well to me, so I pulled out this saying from Celebration Sentiments
