Paper Makeup Stamps - makeup4theweekend04

Here's my card for this week's Paper Makeup Challenge. I just love how cute this squirrel is from their Nuts About You set. Anyhow, back to the card. I used copic markers to color the squirrel and acorns. I've got to practice and get some more experience using those - but you've gotta start somewhere, right? I tried adding some highlights in the shading with the colorless marker and I outlined the entire squirrel with a light gray.

The DP is SU's retired Parisian Breeze. I love the texture to it. Then for the saying - I did something that I've never done before! It comes with the three words stacked on top of one another, but I wanted them stretched out from left to right. Rather than marker each word individually and try to line them up, I carefully cut apart the three words on the stamp. Then I was easily able to line them in a row on my acrylic block and see where to stamp my words. And I can just as easily stack them up again to be used as the stamp was originally designed. :) I am loving the versatility of unmounted stamps!
