Retro Butterfly

This week's challenge at Flutterby Wednesday is an OPEN one - just make sure you have a butterfly or fairy on your creation!

My background was created by layering post-it notes and sponging the regal rose color, then removing a few and sponging the bashful blue color, then finally removing the last post-it notes and sponging apricot appeal in the remaining white areas.  The butterfly is sparkly embossed from SU!'s retired Wonderful Wings, colored to match and popped up in front.

Such a cool sponged background. Love the look. Very pretty colors, too.

Cool card, Michelle. The butterfly is so pretty. Now you have me thinking, I wonder what else I could use besides post-its to create such an interesting background.
